PANDAMIUM RULES
THE MUST-KNOW GUIDELINES
THE MUST-KNOW GUIDELINES
It is okay to make friendly jokes, but language that is hurtful or inappropriate is forbidden. Rules #2, #3, and #5 elaborate on this more specifically.
Any form of harassment, witch hunting, prejudice, hate speech, or impersonation of others will not be tolerated.
"Others" includes other players, our staff team, Mojang employees, and anyone else who may be brought up in conversation.
Spamming includes excessively repeating messages or letters, excessively writing in capital letters and unusual fonts, and other generally annoying behavior in channels/chat.
"Advertising" is the promotion of your/others' Minecraft servers, social media accounts, or websites.
Advertising an event you're organizing on the server or a shop is allowed as long as it is done reasonably.
Swearing is allowed, but do not do it in an excessive, rude, or derogatory way.
"NSFW" - "not safe for work" - refers to extreme adult topics.
Any form of derogatory behavior—such as racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism—will not be tolerated.
This extends to images, videos, links to websites, and creations in Minecraft too.
Certain context-specific words (such as "the N word") are outright forbidden, even if you claim to be of a social background that may use it. When on the internet, it is a reasonable expectation that those words should not be allowed in public spaces, and we cannot, and will not, entertain attempts to verify your identity in order to "permit" their usage.
Arguments and heated debates about potentially controversial topics unrelated to Minecraft or Pandamium should be avoided.
These topics aren't completely forbidden but can easily lead to fights and insults, which is why we ask that they be kept to a minimum.
If you notice that anyone is uncomfortable, please try to change the topic, and if you yourself are uncomfortable, please let others know.
This usually relates to controversial politics.
Using one language is more inclusive of everyone who is online and allows all staff members to moderate effectively.
Communicating this rule to new players who don't speak English is, of course, fine—we just ask that you keep it brief so that moderators don't have to be constantly translating.
Alt accounts are allowed on the servers, but if you have been banned or jailed and switch to an alt to continue playing, both accounts may be permanently banned.
If you use an alt account in order to contact staff, we will excuse that—so please just be honest.
Please let us know about any alt accounts you or others have so that you do not take up multiple places on leaderboards.
Client-side mini-map mods are allowed unless they allow you to see the location of ores or structures underground.
Schematic mods are allowed, but only the visual (hologram) aspects. Any auto-placing or automated/impossible movement is not allowed.
This includes killing others' pets, not paying for items in shops, and looting "abandoned" bases.
Especially, but not limited to:
Item duplication
Crashing the server
Intentionally creating lots of lag
Especially not again after they explicitly stated that they do not want to fight. If you're not both having fun, just don't do it.
Also, be mindful that some players may have Keep-Inventory disabled, so killing them without their permission may lose them lots of progress.
Being active at a farm is allowed, but spending too much time there can strain the server performance due to increased entities taking up the mob cap.
If you are AFK and your farm starts to hurt server performance, you may be kicked or jailed as a warning. This isn't serious, but just try to be careful.
For example, do not do/share/encourage any of the following:
Gambling
Pornography
Violence
Terrorism
Other unsafe content
This is an enforcement by Mojang and GamerSafer, but we feel that it is entirely reasonable as it helps to keep the server a safe place.
Some specific rules regarding moderation that you should be aware of:
Punishments are issued based on the severity of the violation. While staff have discretion, we follow internal guidelines to ensure consistency.
Minecraft can be buggy, especially with snapshots and experimental content. Items may be lost due to crashes or glitches—this is part of the game.
Staff are not required to return lost items but may do so at their discretion or if the team agrees.
Items lost due to theft or raids may be recoverable by staff.
Helping others break the rules can result in punishment, even if you don’t directly violate any rules. This includes:
Providing items for exploits
Lying to staff about another player’s offense
Failing to report known rule violations
Claiming to break the rules may be enough to warrant punishment. Making moderation harder violates General Rule #1.
Appealing punishments can be done by opening a "help ticket" on Discord.
Staff decisions are based on the situation, context, and your behavior.
You can also send messages or items to staff in-game on the Snapshot server using /trigger mail.
You are responsible for your own account.
"A family member broke the rules" is not an acceptable excuse.
If your account is hacked and used for scams, staff may temporarily ban it. Once you regain access, inform staff and take accountability.
Using alt accounts to evade bans or jail time is strictly prohibited. Doing so may result in permanent bans for all associated accounts.
Contacting the server owner
For non-urgent or official matters, email pandamiummc.contact@gmail.com.
Do not use this email for general questions or punishment appeals—use Discord instead.
If you have no other way to contact staff, you may appeal punishments via email, but expect slow responses. You may be asked to move to Discord.
This rules documentation may be changed slightly at any time for the sake of clarification and accessibility, but the principles should remain the same.
